Riptide WIP

Made some good progress on this Riptide over the last few days. I didn't have my spray with me, so I decided to undercoat the entire thing in white by hand... let's just say that's not an experience I want to repeat any time soon. Obviously he's missing his shield arm at the moment, I removed it as soon as I realised how awkward it was making the painting process.

Here you can see the running pose I've achieved. I was set on having it it mid-sprint, before I actually got the model and found the ankle joint to be the most pathetic, tiny little ball socket imaginable. Not to be deterred, I attempted something I've never done before: pinning. It's a miracle that it worked: the holes I drilled were too big and at the wrong angles, so the piece of paper clip is essentially held in by nothing but green stuff and faith. But I'm confident it will hold! Next time I'll go for a less adventurous pose I think...

Until next time!
